This is quieter than the typical refrigerators, with a the slightest hum when it is operating.
The total capacity of the refrigerator is 295 litres. The refrigerator compartment holds 209 litres, while the bottom-mounted storage freezer provides 89 cubic litres. It’s not frost-free and requires periodic manual defrosting to ensure optimal performance. The drawer for chilled drinks is a nice feature and there’s plenty room in the crisper drawer to store fresh fruits and vegetables.
The refrigerator scored an A+ for energy efficiency. This is the lowest energy efficiency we’ve assessed, and is a good performance for an appliance at this price. Swan has kept the design simple which is an advantage in terms of ease of use. The fridge has an LED bulb light and a thermostat that rotates to regulate temperature. The temperature was extremely stable and the middle and top shelves only fluctuating by a few degrees either side of their normal while the salad drawer was at a comfortable 2oC. However, we did notice that it was quite warm at the back, which could be a problem in hotter rooms.

The SR11010 has a classic retro design that will make a stunning statement in your kitchen. The range combines a vintage design with contemporary A+ efficiency.
The fridge freezer is 208 litres and can store 13 bags. It will keep your food in order. The generous sized refrigerator side has glass shelves and an chrome bottle rack. The freezer side is designed towards fresh vegetables and has an ice-filled compartment. Fast freeze function is quick to chill new food items that are added to the freezer. This keeps the flavor and freshness.
The Swan is quite quiet, despite it being an old-fashioned compressor model. It measured 42dB when running. This is significantly quieter than models from a decade ago and much quieter than the majority of fridge freezers on our Best Buy chart.
This fridge also had good temperature stability. The average temperature of the upper shelf, middle and lower shelves was within a few degrees of the maximum. The temperature of the salad drawer varied between 5oC and just below freezing.
As with the SR11010, the fridge will require an occasional manual defrost, but it is graded A+ for energy efficiency. This makes it one of the most efficient freezers for fridges on our Best Buy chart, keeping your electricity bills down.
This is a great illustration of how the Swan brand can provide appealing retro-inspired designs at competitive prices.
